If you have a full sounding brass section and if by chance your trombones feel neglected, then this is a must-have arrangement. Mike Lewis has taken this wonderful standard sung by Frank Sinatra and written by great American songwriters Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn and changed the feel to a bluesy 12/8-style slow groove. Even with the bulk of the melodic load carried by the 'bones and brass, your saxes still get a piece of the musical pie. Add a tenor solo, plenty of great chord changes and interesting figures for the rhythm section, and you have all the ingredients for a musical feast. Very effective chart!
