The range of terrain and emotions, characteristic of Scotland, come alive in this wonderful arrangement. The first tune of this medley, "Lament on the Death of Sor Blanca Maria" is an original air written for Ms. Rideout's aunt. The three traditional tunes "Yell, Yell," "Sweet Molly" in a strathspey style, and "Sweet Molly" in a reel style, continue the rollicking journey to the Highlands. The technical issues explored in Scottish Mist range from lyric playing to authentic rhythms and ornaments.
