Three Studies in English Folk Song
Author: Harbinson, William
[20267]
$0.99

Three Studies in English Folk Song is composed of the first, second and fifth movements from Ralph Vaughan Williams's original collection, Six Studies in English Folk Song. The settings are much more than simple arrangements of original folksongs; they are beautiful examples of Vaughan Williams's command of modal harmony, counterpoint and instrumentation. Conductors will find ample opportunity for the study of phrasing, melodic shaping and beautiful ensemble playing in these three stunning settings for concert band.
