The Swarm
Author: Smith, Robert W.

With characteristic splashes of sound, excitement pervades in Robert W. Smith's newest creative composition for young band. Subtitled "The Battle Won With Hornets," this work will capture the imagination of all. Use of the brass mouthpieces to emulate the swarming hornets works in conjunction with the many moods in this unique work. No bug spray needed here. The Swarm is a buzzing frenzy. (3:45)

Recorded at Omega Studios, Rockville, Maryland
by the Washington Winds and the Washington Pops,
Edward Petersen, Conductor
