Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead
Author: Wolpe, Dave

Another classic melody from The Wizard of Oz that fits great in the jazz swing style! This one moves right along, but is very playable at the medium difficulty level. Dave Wolpe writes everything just right for each instrument that the song almost plays itself. Brass ranges are quite reasonable with 1st Trumpet to written A and 1st Trombone to F, and he rounds it out with some tenor sax with solo written out and backgrounds to support the soloist. Plenty of dynamics, swing figures, and a modulation to work on, plus a familiar melody the audience can enjoy--what a great combination. This is a wonderful chart!
