The grade level is 1/2, the pitch ranges are an octave (A-flat to A-flat concert), and the rhythm patterns are limited to half, quarter, and eighth notes, and quarter and whole rests. ECHO CAROL, also known as "While By My Sheep," is a nineteenth century German Christmas song. The German title is "Als ich bei meinen Schafen wacht."
