Composer Mark Hellem has brought us this beautifully rich treatment of the Austrian Christmas carol, "Da Draben Vom Berge," utilizing the full resources of the string orchestra. Full tutti sounds, as well as some delicate pizzicato "music-box" sonorities, create a very colorful and enriching arrangement. Highly recommended for upper-level orchestras. (Grade 4)
